Cause Celebrè presents the 80-minute play that is directed by Antony Marsellis. The Pretty Trap will officially open Aug. 3 and play through Aug. 21.

Houghton ("Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," Our Town) portrays Amanda Wingfield, the role famously played by her aunt, the late Katharine Hepburn, in the 1973 television adaptation of The Glass Menagerie. Read Playbill.com's Stage to Screens interview with Houghton.

Rounding out the cast are Robert Eli (Tartuffe, Saturn Returns) as Jim O'Connor, the Gentleman Caller; Nisi Sturgis (39 Steps) as Laura; and Loren Dunn (The Foreigner) as Tom.

Cause Celebrè bills the Off-Broadway engagement as the New York premiere of The Pretty Trap. It runs in repertory with Susan Charlotte's The Shoemaker, which began July 14. It stars Danny Aiello, Alma Cuervo and Lucy Devito.

For tickets, priced $66.25, phone (212) 239-6200 or visit Telecharge. The Acorn Theatre is located at 410 W 42 Street.
