Broadway News Katharine McPhee and the Cast of Waitress Perform ‘Opening Up’ in 360-Degree Video Joe’s Pie Diner is all around you in the new video, filmed from the stage of the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Katharine McPhee makes her Broadway debut in Waitress, taking center stage as inventive pie baker Jenna. To mark the Smash and American Idol favorite’s return to the show after a two-week hiatus, check out the 360-degree video from NBC Nightly News above, in which McPhee and her co-stars perform the musical’s opening song, “Opening Up.”

Waitress, featuring a score by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson, continues to play the Brooks Atkinson Theatre with a cast including Erich Bergen as Dr. Pomatter, Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, and Benny Elledge as Cal.
