News Kathleen Turner Hopes to Star in Title Role of King Lear Adaptation In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about the disparity between wages for men and women in the film industry, Tony and Oscar-nominated actress Kathleen Turner also revealed some of her future acting plans.

Turner, who was recently seen Off-Broadway in Would You Still Love Me If…, which she also directed, is planning to star in the title role of her own stage work based on the William Shakespeare classic King Lear. Plans for a television return are also underway, including an episode of Universal Television's "The Path."

Turner told the industry website her dream role is Regina Giddens in Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes.

On Broadway Turner has been seen in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, Indiscretions, The Graduate, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and High, earning Tony nominations for Cat and Virginia Woolf?
