Film actress and current star of Tallulah at the Coconut Grove Playhouse Kathleen Turner will host a special awards ceremony to honor survivors of domestic abuse. The awards occur after the premiere performance of Breaking the Cycle Jan. 25, 1999. Also lauded will be community leaders who've made a difference. Cycle, a play with music by Rafael Blanco, looks at domestic abuse's effect on five teenagers and their personal relationships. It will tour Miami Dade County middle and high schools as a part of Coconut Grove's In-School Touring program. Sponsors include the City of Miami Police Department, American Express, the Miami-Dade County School Board, Omnipoint Communications and the Junior League. Tickets for the event are $25. Cocktails begin at 7 PM with the awards ceremony at 9 PM. For further information and tickets, call (305) 442 4000. The Coconut Grove Playhouse is located at 3500 Main Highway.
