News Kathy Bates Will Guest Star on CBS' "Two And a Half Men" Oscar winner and Tony Award nominee Kathy Bates will guest star on the CBS sitcom "Two And a Half Men," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Bates, who will appear in the April 30 episode, will play the ghost of Charlie Harper, the character previously played on the series by Charlie Sheen. In the episode, Alan (Jon Cryer) suffers a minor heart attack, and the ghost of Charlie appears at his hospital bedside. Sheen's character, Charlie, was famously killed off in the season premiere after the actor was fired from the series. Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen, joining the show as billionaire Walden Schmidt.

Bates was nominated for a Tony Award in 1983 for her performance in 'night, Mother. She has also been seen on Broadway in Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean; Fifth of July; and Goodbye Fidel. She won an Academy Award for her performance in "Misery." Her film and television credits include "Titanic," "About Schmidt," "The Blind Side," "The Office" and "Harry's Law," among others.
