The musical, penned by Mitch Margo, Phil Margo and Noah Margo, features classic Tokens songs such as "I Hear Trumpets Blow" and "Only In My Dreams," among others.

Directed by Kirsten Brandt, the associate artistic director of San Jose Repertory, the cast features Kathy Voytko (The Pirate Queen, The Frogs, Nine, Oklahoma!) as the Goddess Venus and Jim Moye (Million Dollar Quartet, Ragtime, A Tale of Two Cities, The Full Monty, Urinetown) as the mortal man she desires.

Rounding out the cast are Nick Wyman (Sly Fox, A Tale Of Two Cities, Les Misérables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Catch Me If You Can), Kathleen Monteleone (Hands On A Hardbody), Sara Jean Ford (How To Succeed…, A Little Night Music, The Phantom Of The Opera), Jon Rua (In The Heights, Hands On A Hardbody), Roger Seyer (Les Misérables, Miss Saigon), Todd Alan Johnson (Aida), Liz Byrne (Baby It's You) and Happy McPartlin (Hands On A Hardbody).

Based on the novella "The Tinted Venus," Oh, My Goddess, according to press notes, "tells the story of one man's struggle with the Goddess Aphrodite (Voytko) who has been trapped inside a statue since the debacle of the Trojan War. Three thousand years later, she is stolen and winds up across the globe in New York City. Lee (Moye) has everything the modern man could want: a beautiful and smart fiancée, a great Manhattan apartment with a 52" LCD TV, and he owns a very successful business. Unfortunately for Lee, the engagement ring he puts on the stolen statue awakens Venus from her imprisonment. Lee has to quickly learn how to handle a Goddess, outwit two conniving criminals and avoid arrest by one very well connected police detective!"

The Tokens, known for their recording of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," are still performing throughout the country.
