Holmes will play Ann, a well-bred woman who runs a philanthropic foundation that helps bring clean water to African villages with her husband.
Holmes was last seen on Broadway in Theresa Rebeck's Dead Accounts. Her stage credits also include All My Sons, and she starred on the TV show "Dawson's Creek." Her film work includes "Thank You for Smoking," "Batman Begins" and "Pieces of April."
The drama, which is currently untitled, will also feature Tony Award nominee Rufus Sewell (Translations, Rock 'n' Roll).
Set in New York, the story revolves around Philip Fitzgerald Julien (Sewell) and Margot Worth Cole, powerful and wealthy socialites who play out their seduction through the manipulation of others.
