You just can't keep Gary Beach out of a dress. The Tony Award-winning star of The Producers, famed for his role as crossdressing director Roger DeBris, will slip into another fabulous frock when he guest stars as Sharon Gless' old flame on the April 14 episode of Showtime's "Queer As Folk."
On the gay-themed hour-long drama, Beach plays Danny Devore, an old high-school boyfriend of Debbie's (Sharon Gless) who comes back to town — performing as his alter ego "Divina Devore." When Debbie's son, Michael (Hal Sparks), sees Danny's picture in Debbie's old yearbook, the resemblance leads him to suspect that "Divina" might be his father.
"Queer As Folk" airs at 10 PM (ET) on Showtime April 14 and is repeated 11 PM Tuesday.
