News Keira Knightley Will Voice Role of Tinker Bell in "Neverland" Miniseries Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley, currently appearing in London's West End in The Children's Hour, has joined the cast of the four-hour Syfy miniseries "Neverland," according to deadline.com.

Knightley will be the voice of Tinker Bell in this live-action prequel to J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan." Rhys Ifans, Anna Friel, Bob Hoskins, Charles Dance, Raoul Trujillo and Charlie Rowe are also part of the cast. Nick Willing wrote and will direct. The film will follow Peter (Rowe) and his young pickpocket friends as they are transported by a magical orb to the timeless world of Neverland, where Elizabeth Bonny (Friel) and her team of pirates look for the secret of eternal youth, which is guarded by a Holy Man voiced by Trujillo.

An Academy Award nominee for "Pride & Prejudice," Knightley has also appeared in the West End in The Misanthrope. Her many film credits include "Never Let Me Go," "The Duchess," the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, "Love Actually" and "Bend It Like Beckham."

"Neverland" is set to air on Syfy in December.
