News Kelli O'Hara, Patti LaBelle and More Will Be Part of PBS' "A Capitol Fourth" Two-time Emmy Award winner Tom Bergeron will host the 34th annual broadcast of PBS’ "A Capitol Fourth" July 4 live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

The 90-minute program will be broadcast beginning at 8 PM ET; check local listings.

Currently scheduled to perform are "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips; Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, who will offer the Oscar-nominated song “Rainbow Connection"; Frankie Valli; After Midnight's Patti LaBelle; concert and Broadway star Jordin Sparks; five-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Michael McDonald; country music star Sara Evans; singer-songwriter Kendall Schmidt; and five-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara.

The National Symphony Orchestra will be under the direction of pops conductor Jack Everly. In celebration of the 200th anniversary of our national anthem, five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams will conduct his special new arrangement for orchestra and chorus of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The evening will also be broadcast to our troops serving around the world on the American Forces Network; the program can be heard live over NPR member stations nationwide.
