Ken Ludwig Finds Inspiration for Next Play On the Golf Course

Now that Lend Me a Tenor has settled into the Music Box and other forces are at work on musicalizing it for a London bow in the fall, playwright Ken Ludwig has resumed his game of golf. That's the subject of his current comedy-in-the-works.

"It's called A Fox on the Fairway — that's the title right now — and it's set in a sort of snooty golf club," Ludwig relayed at the opening night of Tenor. "It's a farce about a rivalry between two golf clubs and it's very much exactly in the tradition of Lend Me a Tenor — sort of a slam-bang night in the theatre."
