But now the good people of Topeka, Kansas will get to see film and theatre star Kevin Kline in a whole host of Shakespearean roles, when he comes to Washburn University, Feb. 22, as a benefit for the Topeka Civic Theatre.

Broadway audiences saw him in Ivanov; Central Park audiences saw him in The Pirates of Penzance. But now the good people of Topeka, Kansas will get to see film and theatre star Kevin Kline in a whole host of Shakespearean roles, when he comes to Washburn University, Feb. 22, as a benefit for the Topeka Civic Theatre. As reported by the Associated Press, all proceeds from Kline's An Evening Of Shakespeare will go towards the Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy's $5 million capital campaign. Tickets to the Kline show run from $200 $500.

Kline, who appeared in films A Fish Called Wanda, In and Out and The Ice Storm, was quoted as saying, "I believe every community should have its own theatre, and it should be supported by the community," he said. "I think the theatre gives us something that movies cannot."
