The 4 PM reading will be held at the New 42nd Street Studios, 229 West 42nd Street. Daniel Kutner directs a cast that boasts Bob Balaban, Richard Kind, Rosie Perez, Robert Klein, Nancy Opel, John Scherer, Tim Wilson, Donna Lynne Champlin, Jessica Wright, Eric Michael Gillette, Ryan Duncan and Rob Hancock.

Kid, according to press notes, is the story of "Louie Wexler (Bob Balaban), a whiz kid comedy writer from the heyday of variety television. With his devoted agent (Richard Kind) and his considerably less devoted housekeeper (Rosie Perez) by his side, Louie's found himself on the wrong side of middle age. His latest screenplay could be his last chance to rekindle success after a prolonged slump that could spell an end to his career —not to mention the loss of his posh Beverly Hills house. With unannounced visits from his deceased parents (Robert Klein & Nancy Opel), Louie desperately searches for an outlet to tell his story — movies, Broadway musicals, even reality TV. Will Louie find some truth in his work, or more importantly, in his life?"

Th comedy features four songs penned by Larry Grossman and Ryan Cunningham.

Solms is a former writer for "The Carol Burnett Show."

Industry folk interested in attending the reading should send an e-mail to kidrsvp09@gmail.com.
