"Kids' Night on Broadway," a nationwide annual event sponsored by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the Theatre Development Fund, will take place in New York on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2. The three-year-old program is designed to introduce young people to live theatre in New York and across the nation. Along with the free tickets, most cities -- including New York -- are offering special 7 PM curtains, parking and dining discounts, and a variety of backstage activities.

Kids Night participants are again invited to attend the KidsFest, held on Jan. 26 at Roseland Ballroom (3-6 PM). Stars from many of the represented Broadway shows -- including Cats and Smokey Joe's Cafe -- will offer special activities.

Participating show this year include Chicago , Les Miz , Miss Saigon , Night Must Fall , The Scarlet Pimpernel and Titanic. Tickets to the shows will be available for both Jan. 26 and Feb. 2.
