News Kiki and Herb Announce Spring Reunion at the Public Kiki and Herb, the twisted song-and-booze cabaret act from Justin Vivian Bond and Kenny Mellman that earned the duo a Tony Award nomination in 2007, will return to the New York stage for a limited spring run at Joe's Pub.

The New York Times broke the news, which Bond revealed during a Sept. 18 show at Joe's Pub that featured Mellman on the piano. Seeking Asylum! will play the Pub April 21-May 6, 2016.

There had been speculation whether the duo would reunite as part of Bond's yearlong retrospective at the venue. The duo told the Times that they needed a break from the act, "What makes it special makes it dangerous," Mellman said.

Playbill On Opening Night: Kiki and Herb: Alive on Broadway – Up the Down Subway 

Their Tony-nominated Broadway outing featured such songs as "Celebration" (by Schmidt/Jones from the musical Celebration), "Don't Believe The Hype" (Public Enemy), "Same Old Lange Syne" (Dan Fogelberg), "All Over Town" (The Magnetic Fields), "Let's Go To Bed" (The Cure) and "Take Your Mama Out" (The Scissor Sisters).
