The comedy, directed by Richard Eyre, will play the Royal Alexandra Theatre. No additional casting or specific dates were announced for the production that is based on the 2010 staging on London's West End.

In the famous comedy, "glamorous divorcée Amanda and her prosaic new husband honeymoon on the French Riviera," according to Mirvish Productions in Toronto. "When Amanda finds that the hotel room next to theirs is occupied by her ex-husband, the rich and reckless Elyot, old passions begin to bubble."

Mirvish Productions announced its 2011-12 seven-show subscription season on Feb. 8. In addition to Private Lives, the subscription season includes the North American premiere of York Theatre Royal's production of The Railway Children by Mike Kenny, based on the book by E. Nesbit, at the Roundhouse Theatre (starting this May); Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's production of the musical Mary Poppins, September-October 2011 at the Princess of Wales Theatre; Chess, the Musical, directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, in September-October at the Princess of Wales Theatre; Robert Lepage's production of The Blue Dragon by Marie Michaud and Lepage, "the evocative tale of a Canadian in modern day China," January-February 2012 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre; the acclaimed National Theatre production of War Horse, a London smash (opening in New York this spring at Lincoln Center Theater) about a lad and his horse during World War I, beginning February 2012 at the Princess of Wales Theatre; and the North American tour of Hair, in March-April 2012 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.

Women Fully Clothed, an all-star cast of four renowned Canadian comedy artists — Kathryn Greenwood, Robin Duke, Jayne Eastwood and Teresa Pavlinek — June 14-19, 2011, at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.
