Presented by Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP 21), the musical will be performed Nov. 9-19 at CAP 21's The Shop on West 18th Street. The cast for the production will include Cameron Adams, Jeb Brown, Mark Bush, Dwayne Clark, Tonya Doran, J. D. Goldblatt, Steven Goldsmith, Demond Green, Kevin Hale, Rodney Hicks, Claire Karpen, Chad Kimball, Anika Larsen, Megan Lewis, Amy McAlexander, Jason Poole, Lois Robbins, Idara Victor, Max von Essen, Andy Whaley and Angela Williams.

The 60's Project, according to production notes, "is a musical about one of the most dramatic decades in U.S history. Told through the powerful, poetic songs of the period, in a mixed media production, the story follows the evolution of a group of young people from 1960 to 1970."

In a statement creator Brenner said, "In no other decade did the country change so completely. The 60’s Project tracks a group of characters through this period and we watch these individuals change as the entire country changes. The story of this transformation is found in the extraordinarily powerful and resonant music of the time."

The creative team for the musical also includes Don York (musical supervision), Jeffrey Klitz (musical direction) and Lisa Shriver (choreography).

Richard Maltby, Jr. is a noted director and lyricist, who co-conceived and directed the Tony-winning revues Ain't Misbehavin' and Fosse. He wrote the lyrics for and also directed the musical Baby. Maltby also penned the lyrics for Broadway's Big, Nick & Nora and Miss Saigon and helped rewrite the lyrics for the American bow of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance. Maltby is also set to direct the Broadway-bound Johnny Cash musical Ring of Fire. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM with matinees on Sundays at 3 PM. The Shop is located in Manhattan at 18 West 18th Street. Tickets, priced at $15, are available by calling (866) 811-4111. Visit www.cap21.org for more information.
