Gallagher is in good company: Tyne Daly, Cynthia Nixon and John Slattery star in the theatre's world premiere Broadway production, directed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan (Proof, Sight Unseen, Brooklyn Boy).
Performances begin Jan. 12, 2006, at the Biltmore Theatre (261 West 47th Street) toward an opening of Feb. 2.
Additional casting will be announced soon. Gallagher appeared in Kimberly Akimbo both at MTC and at South Coast Repertory Theatre. He was nominated for a L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance. He made his Off-Broadway debut at the age of 15 in Current Events at MTC and has performed in numerous readings for NYS&F, Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, Naked Angels Productions, Women's Project and Productions, The Play Company and Playwrights Horizons.
In the play by Lindsay-Abaire (Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World, Fuddy Meers), "Becca (Cynthia Nixon) and Howie Corbett (John Slattery) have everything a family could want, until the day their world is turned upside down. In the aftermath of a life-shattering accident, the couple finds itself drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back up into the light of day."
Rabbit Hole will mark the Broadway debut of playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. For more information, visit www.ManhattanTheatreClub.com.
