Kind (The Producers) will be joined by Hamish Linklater ("The New Adventures of Old Christine") and Gregory Mikurak ("Cold Case") in the Hayworth Theatre production that runs June 6-July 20. The 1946-set Adam Baum and the Jew Movie centers on a script that is "too Jewish." Movie mogul Sam Baum has a few notes for his Gentile screenwriter Garfield Hampson, who has penned a film about anti-Semitism. Baum, afraid Darryl Zanuck and Fox will produce their own "Jew Movie" before his own, asks his screenwriter to make his film less Jewish for American audiences.
Kind has appeared on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Producers, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Sly Fox and the City Opera production of Candide. He is known for his screen work on "Mad About You," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Scrubs" and "Spin City."
Tickets, priced $25-$30, are available by phoning (323) 960-4442. The Hayworth Theatre is located at 2509 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles.
