Also directed by Dobrish, the evening features the talents of Rent's Anthony Rapp as Deramo and Jekyll & Hyde's Robert Cuccioli as Tartaglia with Robert Ari as Pantalone, Becca Ayers as Angela, Michi Barrall as Clarissa, Sean Dugan as Leander, Adam Green as Joe Smith and Jennifer Mudge as Smeraldina. Adapted from the original Carlo Gozzi play, Dobrish's The King Stag, press notes state, "is a Shakespearean-like fairy-tale about a bachelor king who wants proof of a woman's love before he will consent to marry. With entrapped wizards, talking animals, and magic spells that cause the souls of the characters to switch bodies (think 'Freaky Friday'), this farcical look at faith and love is a comedic delight."
The evening begins at 6 PM with a reception followed by the 7:30 PM performance.
