To pay homage to the show's red boots, the first 50 people in line at the Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St.) wearing red shoes when the box office opens at 10 AM will receive a free pair of tickets to that evening’s performance.

Tony Award winner Billy Porter, who stars in the role of Lola, will be on hand to pick the three most fabulous pairs of footwear. Winners will get to join the cast backstage after the evening performance for a celebratory toast and custom Kinky Boots cupcakes.

“What better way to celebrate 1000 performances on Broadway than with some fabulous footwear?” producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig commented in an earlier statement. “The Kinky Boots fans are the greatest, and we know the results will be inventive and inspired!”

The 8 PM evening performance marks the musical's 1,000th show.

Kinky Boots opened on Broadway on April 4, 2013, and went on to win six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Kinky Boots, according to press notes, "tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling business. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola and together, the unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible...and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world."

The musical features a Tony Award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.

The cast also currently includes Andy Kelso, Haven Burton, Daniel Stewart Sherman, Cortney Wolfson, Marcus Neville, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Paul Canaan, Sean Patrick Doyle, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Kyle Post, Joey Taranto, Adinah Alexander, Douglas Baldeo, Eugene Barry-Hill, Stephen Berger, Alfred DalPino, Anna Eilinsfeld, Mia Gentile, Gaelen Gilliland, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jake Katzman, Eric Leviton, Ellyn Marie Marsh, John Jeffrey Martin, Graham Montgomery, Jake Odmark, Nathan Peck, Robert Pendilla, Jennifer Perry, Stephen Tewksbury, Jeremy T.
