News Kiss Me Kate Extends Run in West End to Sept. 2002

As a result of booming ticket sales, Kiss Me, Kate has announced a seven month extension of its run to September 2002.

The Cole Porter musical sealed its success by winning the Best Musical award at the recent Evening Standard Drama Awards.

It has helped put the Victoria Palace back on the West End map, where it belongs, but on which it has only fitfully registered since the 1996-1997 hit Jolson, starring Brian Conley.

One of London's most attractive theatres as well as one of its most comfortable, the Victoria Palace is an ideal venue for a big, brash, feelgood musical like Kiss Me, Kate, and it would not be surprising if the show enjoyed a long run there.
