A host of teens from Houston, TX, will make their Off-Broadway debuts as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of Kissless, the new pop musical about unexpected love by Chance McClain, which begins Sept. 28.

Singer-songwriter and Houston radio personality McClain authored book, music and lyrics to Kissless, which arrives in New York following a special preview engagement under the wings of the Houston Family Arts Center’s Actors Academy earlier this month.

Sam Brown and Ilich Guardiola direct the NYMF run that will play through Oct. 8 at the Theater at St. Clement's.

The cast includes Jordan McLaughlin, Mark Jamma, Ryan Jacobs, Austin Jacobs, Ryne Nardecchia, Raegan Roberts, Julia Green, Michael Chiavone, Maddie Dennison, Matt Buzonas, Sierra Gant, Jessie Brownie, Tyce Green, Cameron Worthen, Megan Blackmon, Ronna Mansfield, Natalie Patton, Sarah Rentcome, Lindsey Vrana, Christie Boriack, Kristin Rice, David Allen III, Rachel Broussard, Noah McClain and Jelena Galagaza.

Here's how the musical is billed: "An awkward misfit is forced to live with an uber-jock and his quirky family over summer break. An inconvenient love develops, threatening the rigid social structure of Forest Glen High School. Kissless' score bounces from pop to rock to traditional Broadway to country … with a little 'Glee' glitter on top. This production features a cast of Texas teenagers, descending upon the Big Apple with stars in their eyes, just enough money for a fake ID and an 'I Heart NY' tattoo, and every intention of rocking your world."

Kevin Ryan, Frank Bullington and Bryan Ford, who helped author the Kissless score, also penned arrangements and orchestrations. Kissless has musical direction by Stephen W. Jones and choreography by Ellen Dyer. The Theater at St. Clement's is located at 423 W. 46th Street. For tickets visit NYMF.
