William Shakespeare's final play, The Tempest, will be revived by the Knightsbridge Theatre on June 10 for a five-week run through July 16. After writing the play for a production in the court of King James I, Shakespeare left London's theatre world and returned to his family farm. The Tempest is set on an island inhabited by fairies and other magical creatures where Prospero, a Duke who has lost his holdings, retires to find peace and solitude.

The Tempest will be directed by Robert Craig, familiar to Knightsbridge audiences for his As You Like It and Twelfth Night. "I believe that Prospero mirrors Shakespeare's own state of mind as he retired from the life that he loved to return to what he believed was his duty," said Craig.
