The place is named after her, so why shouldn't she perform in the prime 8:30 PM Saturday spot at Judy's in New York City?

Judy Kreston and pianist husband David Lahm will perform Keep It in the Family, a collection of songs by Lahm's mother, the late lyricist Dorothy Fields, and Lahm himself, at the Chelsea show-tune watering hole that has a comfortable cabaret room in back. Performances begin March 4 are continue Saturdays in March and April.

Fields (1904-1974) worked in six decades, from Tin Pan Alley and Broadway in the 1920s with Jimmy McHugh to Broadway's Seesaw with Cy Coleman in the 1970s. "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," "On the Sunny Side of the Street," "Big Spender," "Where Am I Going?," "I Must Have That Man," "Close As Pages in a Book" were all penned by Fields, who was also a librettist (Annie Get Your Gun).

For the Kreston and Lahm gig, Ratzo Harris is on bass, Eddie Caccavale is on drums and Richard Hendrickson directs.
