Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander (Les Miserables, Barbra Streisand's Back to Brooklyn), the two-act evenings mark Chenoweth's Hollywood Bowl solo concert debut. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning star of Wicked; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and "Pushing Daisies" is backed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Kevin Stites (Titanic) conducts. Both evenings begin at 8 PM.

Devised by Chenoweth, Jay-Alexander and Mary-Mitchell Campbell, the evenings chart new territory for Chenoweth, with a first act of music from Hollywood and a second act that is billed as "pure Chenoweth."

"This has been a dream of mine, not unlike, earlier this year, when I got to play the Sydney Opera House in Australia," Chenoweth said. "I gave this particular show a lot of thought and even had special clothes designed for this two-night engagement. Every time I'm in a fitting, for the opening dress, I look at myself in the mirror and get excited and nervous, like a bride. I just want it all to be magical... out in the open air, and for everyone to have a beautiful evening. I'll be jealous that everyone out there will be having lovely food and drinks and I’ll be onstage, working!"

Chenoweth is joined by Constantine Germanacos, Jennifer Diamond and Johnny Stellard with special appearances by Avenue Q characters Lucy T. Slut and The Bad Idea Bears. Director Jay-Alexander added, "Working with Kristin has been a dream come true for me. It's endless discovery and awe, in both gleaning material and witnessing her gifts and growth from rehearsal to rehearsal. She takes her work very seriously... and that, for me, is a real pleasure. A lot of people claim to love the 'process' and actually don't. She does... and uses every moment of rehearsal judiciously, but it's the 'homework' she does on her own time that truly astonishes me. If you look at my career, it would seem that I do my best work with actors who sing. It can be dizzying and, with Kristin, I always go home happy and feeling very accomplished... and that's after we've all shed some tears together in a rehearsal room. I make rehearsal a 'safe' place of no judgments and creative abandon... and it works.

"Kevin Stites and I have worked at The Hollywood Bowl before, both individually and together and this is his first time conducting for Kristin, but 'our little secret' is that we're really excited about the fireworks!," he continued. "Yes, it's true. I can't divulge how they're being used, but I can suggest you bring tissues. We hope to see you there."

Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance in Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. The actress is also known for her award-winning film and television work, including "Glee," "Pushing Daisies" and the recent ABC series "GCB."
