PlayBlog Kristin Chenoweth Co-Hosts "Regis and Kelly" (Video) Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth subbed for Kelly Ripa as the co-host of “Live with Regis and Kelly” June 24. In the 15-minute opening monologue, she and Regis Philbin discuss her current Broadway show, Promises, Promises and the theatre scene in general.

In between the nods to current events – the Jake and Vienna split, the World Cup, the Iphone 4 – Chenoweth discusses the challenges of doing two shows a day, a fun Wicked backstage story and her early days as a struggling performer in New York. She and Regis chat about the Public Theater production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, the just-released cast recording of Promises, and her co-star, Sean Hayes. They even duet on one of her earliest audition pieces, “You Made Me Love You.”

“Live with Regis and Kelly” airs in the New York metropolitan area on WABC-7 at 9 AM. Check local listings.
