News Kristin Chenoweth Will Play a Pill-Popping Assistant in New Comedy Film Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth and Uma Thurman will star in "The Brits Are Coming," a comedy about an eccentric British couple who flee to Los Angeles and plot a jewel theft, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The project — produced by Cassian Elwes, filmmaker J.C. Chandor, Robert Ogden Barnum and Will Clevinger — will be directed by James Oakley, who co-wrote the film with Alex Michaelides. Shooting is scheduled to begin in July, when Chenoweth's Broadway show On the Twentieth Century (for which she received a Tony nomination for) will conclude its run.

The movie will follow Harriet (Thurman) and Peter Fox, who travel to L.A. to avoid paying a large debt after a failed poker game. The two plan a jewel theft operation involving Peter's ex-wife and her new husband, Gabriel. Chenoweth will play Gabriel's pill-popping assistant, Gina.
