The cast for the one-night-only reading of George Bernard Shaw's parody of Shakespeare will include Patricia Conolly, George S. Irving, Daniel Jenkins, Marc Kudisch, Charlotte Moore, Charlotte Rae, Kevin Rennard, Graham Rowat and Louis Zorich. Michael Riedel will host; show time is 7 PM. Admirable Bashville, which is based on Shaw's novel "Cashel Byron's Profession," is described as "a riotous Shaw comedy about sex, manners, African chiefs, idealistic maidens, artistic young men, love (kind of), and boxing." Because the play is brief, the upcoming evening will also include "irreverent excepts from Shaw's letters, prose and prefaces."

The Project Shaw series is produced and directed by David Staller, who acted with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. Dates stretching throughout 2007 and beyond will provide an airing of every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the playwright.

Past participants include Blair Brown, Daniel Jenkins, Rebecca Luker, Michael Cerveris, Karen Ziemba, Michele Pawk, Bruce Vilanch, Jack Gilpin and George S. Irving.

The Players is located at 16 Gramercy Park South. For tickets, priced $15, call (212) 352-3101 beginning May 1. Visit www.projectshaw.com for more information.
