A.'s Women in Theatre Seeks Performers and Writers LOS ANGELES -- Women in Theatre (WIT) is currently seeking performers and writers with one-or-two-person plays, or plays with a small cast, to perform their works March 6, 1999, during the Women in Theatre Celebration of Women's History Month.

LOS ANGELES -- Women in Theatre (WIT) is currently seeking performers and writers with one-or-two-person plays, or plays with a small cast, to perform their works March 6, 1999, during the Women in Theatre Celebration of Women's History Month. Performances will be staged in libraries, museums, bookstores and small theatres. "Material should present positive images of women," said a company spokesperson.

In other WIT news, the Association for Theatre in Higher Education and Women in Theatre awarded Elizabeth Wong of Los Angeles the 1998 Jane Chambers Playwriting Award China Doll, earning her a $1,000 prize.

Wong teaches playwriting at the University of Southern California and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
