News La Contessa's Christmas Carol! to Feature West Side Story's "Sharks" Broadway at The Center and LGBT Theatre Company will present La Contessa's Christmas Carol! A Holiday Musical Frolic, which is billed as "a campy holly jolly wonderland of a show," Dec. 6 at 7 PM at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center.

Written by Perry Dell Aquila and Hector Lugo and inspired by Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," the one-night-only event features La Contessa, the self-dubbed "The Puerto Rican Dame Edna," as well as Broadway's West Side Story "Shark" boys (Isaac Calpito, Sean Ewing, Patrick Ortiz, Waldemar Quinones and Michael Williams), Jody Cole, Gavin Esham, William J. Growney, Lori Hammel, Scott Westervelt and John Wasiniak.

Hector Lugo directs with choreography by Isaac Calpito.

Proceeds will benefit The LGBT Center and LGBT Theatre Company.
