Lorenz Hart was a brilliant lyricist who was best served by the music of Richard Rodgers. Together, the two crafted songs for The Garrick Gaities, Babes in Arms, On Your Toes, The Boys from Syracuse and Pal Joey.

The celebrated songwriters are the subject of Beguiled Again, a new musical revue making its West Coast premiere Nov. 10-Dec. 10. Jules Aaron, marking his 200th directorial effort with this production, helms the show, set to star Teri Ralston.

Ralston performed in the original companies of Company, A Little Night Music, The Baker's Wife and Home Again, Home Again, after making her New York debut in Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well.... She also understudied Carol Burnett in the Mark Taper Forum production of Putting It Together.

Also in the cast are Dina Bennett (Pygmalion, Lies and Legends: The Musical Stories of Harry Chapin), Michael Dawson Connor (Showboat, Ragtime), Tod H. Macofsky (Naked Boys Singing!), Matthew McCray and 16-year-old Anneliese Van Der Pol.

Bradley Kaye designed the set; Rand Ryan the lights and Diane Eden, the costumes. Tickets are $35-$25. The Center Theatre is located in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at 300 East Ocean Boulevard. For reservations, call (562) 436-4610.
