LOS ANGELES -- Two plays by James Metropole will open within days of each other at the Hollywood theatre that bears his name. Tiger on the Meadow opens first, on April 30 at 8 PM, followed by The Darling of the Family on May 9.

Tiger, which will play Thursday and Fridays at 8 PM, deals with Robert, a sweet and ordinary middle-class lawyer who runs away from home and gets mixed up with some raffish street characters.

Darling, which plays Sat. at 8 PM; Sun. at 7 PM, is about a mild-mannered housewife who commits a horrible, inexplicable crime.

Both plays were written and directed by Metropole. The producer is Nancy McFarland.

The Metropole Theatre Works is at 1277 N. Wilton Place. For tickets and information call (213) 969-4677.
