News   L.A. Seminar on the Audition Process Set for Feb. 12 "Take Control of Your Audition," a seminar with Q & A for actors, has been set for Feb. 12, 11 AM-5 PM at the Court Theatre, 722 N. La Cienaga Blvd. Scott Reiniger, who directed the L.A. production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Kentucky Cycle, moderates a panel of casting agents, directors and acting teachers. The fee is $150.

"Take Control of Your Audition," a seminar with Q & A for actors, has been set for Feb. 12, 11 AM-5 PM at the Court Theatre, 722 N. La Cienaga Blvd. Scott Reiniger, who directed the L.A. production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Kentucky Cycle, moderates a panel of casting agents, directors and acting teachers. The fee is $150.

Besides Reiniger, who has coached and directed such actors as Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Dan Aykroyd, Lee Grant and Ed Asner, the panel includes John Levey (casting director "ER"); Arvin Brown (director "Ally McBeal"); Carol Trussell (producer "Roswell"); Margie Haber (acting coach); and actress and writer Karen Kondazian (whose column "The Actor's Way" appears in BackStage West/Drama-Logue).

The purpose of the seminar is "to help the actor understand the inside view of the audition process so you get the job," said Reiniger. The fee includes take-home materials, lunch, refreshments and an opportunity to get questions answered by the panelists. Actors should bring their pictures and resumes.
