News   "Ladies of PS Classics" To Appear at Oct. 5 CD Signing, With a Song or Two to Spare; Expect Luker, Carmello, Molaskey & More

The ladies heard on recordings on the PS Classics label are some of Broadway and cabaret's most potent talents, and they'll appear en masse to sing and sign CDs at Tower Records Lincoln Center Oct. 5.

The Manhattan gathering 5:30-7 PM will include a half dozen songbirds, including  Christine Andreas ("Here's to the Ladies"), Carolee Carmello (of Mamma Mia! and the PS Classics Fine and Dandy studio cast recording), Jessica Molaskey (whose newest CD, "Make Believe," hits stores that day), Rebecca Luker ("Leaving Home"), Kelli O'Hara (currently in Dracula, and heard on PS Classics My Life With Albertine cast album) and Deborah Tranelli (whose debut album, "A Lot of Livin'," also comes out that day). The appearance is billed as The Ladies of PS Classics. Performances will be 5:30-6 PM, followed by a CD signing until 7 PM.

Two of the label's other prominent ladies — Lauren Kennedy ("Songs of Jason Robert Brown") and Luba Mason ("Collage," also being released Oct. 5) — will not be in attendance, said PS Classics co-founder Tommy Krasker, because they are appearing in The Ten Commandments in Los Angeles.
