News Lady Gaga Tweets High School Musical Photo Before she was an international pop star, Lady Gaga was a New York City high school student with a leading role in a school production of a classic Broadway musical.

The pop icon, who is currently on tour with The Born This Way Ball, shared a picture of herself as Adelaide in the Tony-winning Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls.

Here's what Gaga tweeted: "some things never change...here's a photo of [me] in highschool in the school play (set that wig + did my own makeup!)"

In a previous television interview, Gaga recalled her Guys and Dolls experience. "I got cast as Adelaide. It was the greatest moment of high school. I tell you, I still dream about it."

In addition to her original pop songs, the native New Yorker has performed songs from the American songbook, including an unadorned rendition of "Someone to Watch Over Me," backed by piano and a trumpet soloist on "The Today Show," and "Orange Colored Sky" on her 2011 holiday special.
