News Lainie Kazan Will Offer New York City Solo Concerts The actress will play NYC’s Iridium next month.

Lainie Kazan, the standby for Fanny Brice in the original 1964 production of Funny Girl, will play New York City’s Iridium October 18-22.

Kazan began her career in Funny Girl, where she played a Ziegfeld showgirl and understudied leading lady Barbra Streisand. Her Broadway credits also include The Happiest Girl in the World, Bravo Giovanni, My Favorite Year and The Government Inspector.

Kazan is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Theater, Film, and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was recently seen in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which opened in the spring of 2016.

Show times are October 18-20 at 7:30 PM and October 21-22 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM.
