Lambert Mentors Magnus and Lynche on "Idol" (Video)

PlayBlog   Lambert Mentors Magnus and Lynche on "Idol" (Video)

Last season’s “American Idol” runner-up, Adam Lambert, returned to the show April 13 to mentor this season’s contestants as they performed Elvis classics.

Below are video clips of a few of those mentoring sessions and the resulting performances. Lambert encourages Siobhan Magnus to add “more fire” to her rendition of “Suspicious Minds” (Like Wicked vet Lambert, Magnus has musical theatre in her past, albiet in high school rather than professionally - at the moment).

While coaching Michael Lynche in his performance of “In the Ghetto,” Lambert even suggests that the St. Petersburg, FL, native “bring a little bit of an actor out” in putting the emotional song over, in spite of Lynche’s previously being told by Simon that he was too theatrical!

See if you think the singers took Adam’s advice, and if it paid off for them, below. Lambert will return to “Idol” April 14, the night the April 13 voting results are announced, to perform his single “Whattaya Want from Me.”
