News Lansbury, Feinstein, Mitchell and More to Sing Gershwin Nov. 13 A gala concert celebrating the work of George Gershwin will be presented Nov. 13 at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall.

Hosted by Ed Bradley, the evening, according to the New York Times, will feature the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and the American Composers Orchestra. Also scheduled to perform are Tony Award winners Angela Lansbury and Brian Stokes Mitchell as well as Patti Austin, Kitty Carlisle Hart and Marcus Roberts. Dinner will follow the Gershwin concert.

With his brother Ira, George Gershwin created such Broadway musicals as Lady Be Good!, Tip-Toes, Oh Kay!, Strike Up the Band, Funny Face, Girl Crazy and Of Thee I Sing. Their songbook boasts such tunes as "Fascinating Rhythm," "The Man I Love," "Someone to Watch Over Me," "But Not for Me" and "They Can't Take That Away from Me."
