Former Theatre West company member and Academy Award winner Martin Landau is the guest of honor at the Los Angeles troupe's 40th anniversary gala benefit June 21. TV's Lee Meriwether, currently starring in Theatre West's musical Spoon River Anthology, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

Landau won his Oscar for his portrayal of Bela Lugosi in "Ed Wood." Veteran of such films as "The Majestic," "The Greatest Story Ever Told" and "North by Northwest," Landau was twice before nominated for Academy Awards for "Tucker: A Man and His Dream" and Woody Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors." He performed with Theatre West soon after the company began productions in 1962.

The starry guest list for the gala, which benefits Theatre West and the Studio City Beautification Association, inclues film and TV stars Edward Asner, Ed Begley, Jr., Beau Bridges, George Chakiris, Buddy Edsen, Beverly Garland, Betty Garrett, Florence Henderson, Gavin MacLeod, Tom Skerritt, Sally Struthers and Jonathan Winters.
