LOS ANGELES -- Theatre West, a non-profit company with a 37-year history, will once again be producing mainstage shows at its Cahuenga Blvd. home. In recent years Theatre West has concentrated on acting workshops and play development, but now the company will return to the producing wars on a regular basis, commencing with the Jean Anouilh comedy Thieves Carnival. Opening date is Feb. 12.

Thieves Carnival deals with a bumbling trio of crooks attempting to ply their trade in Vichy circa 1934. Norman Cohen directs a cast that includes Marc Grady Adams, David Brandt, Judith Cockman, Graham Jackson, Susan Morgenstern, Andrew Parks, Lisa Poff, Kevin Symons and George Tovar. Set design by Evan Bartoletti. Lighting and sound design by Annette Pillow.

Theatre West recently completed refurbishing its premises. The theatre has a new lobby, marquee and seating.

Thieves Carnival runs through April 4 at Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. For information call (323) 851-7977.
