The Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino hosts the new show, which officially opens April 17 in a new $28 million theatre built specifically for the production.

Directed and created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, the new show STOMP OUT LOUD bears the same name as the duo's Emmy Award-winning HBO special of 1997.

Billed as a "journey through sound, a celebration of the everyday, and a comic interplay of characters wordlessly communicating through dance and percussion," the show features a cast double the size of the original production with new sequences and choreography.

"We are very excited to bring STOMP OUT LOUD to Las Vegas because it gives us the chance to do things with the show that we've always wanted to do," stated co-creator McNicholas in a release. Cresswell concurs: "We think it's an ideal match and look forward to showing audiences a side of Stomp that they've never seen before."

The show has spawned international tours and regional productions, an Academy Award-nominated short, the Emmy Award-winning HBO special "STOMP Out Loud," numerous television appearances as well as an IMAX film called "Pulse." STOMP OUT LOUD is produced by BASE Entertainment with the producers of STOMP, including Columbia Artist Theatricals LLC, Schuster Entertainment Inc., Marc Routh Productions), Richard Frankel Productions in association with Yes/No Productions.
