Eclipsed, a play inspired by the notorious Magdalene Laundries of west Ireland, and current playing at Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre, will end its run Dec. 19. The Patricia Burke Brogan work began previews Oct. 26 for a Nov. 7 opening.

In Eclipsed, four unwed Irish mothers, whose children were taken from them and put up for adoption in foreign countries, are endeavoring to wash away their sins by working in a church-run, convent laundry facility, washing clothes all day long. Brogan drew from her own experiences working in one such laundry during the early 1960s.

Charlotte Moore will direct a cast featuring Terry Donnelly, Rosemary Fine, Jacqueline Kealy, Aedin Moloney, Heather O'Neill, Amy Redmond, Erika Rolfsrud and Fiona Walsh.

Rolfsrud came to attention last year as part of the cast Love's Fire, a collection of one-act plays inspired by Shakespeare's sonnets, which toured the nation, eventually playing New York's Public Theater. Rolfsrud was featured in new pieces by Wendy Wasserstein and Tony Kushner. This past summer, she played Imogen in Dan Sullivan's staging of Cymbeline at the Old Globe Theatre.

Donnelly, Redmond and Walsh all appeared in Irish Rep's hit production of The Shaughraun last fall. For information, call (212) 727-2737.
