Girls Talk, an evening of 15 short pieces written and performed by the women of Theatre Neo, ends its three-week run Aug. 26 at the Hudson Avenue Theatre in Hollywood.
Theatre Neo is a group of actors, writers and directors who have formed a resident company at the Hudson. They specialize in presenting new works which range from monologues, one-act plays and readings.
Among the 15 plays on display at Girls Talk are The Dark Kalamazoo, a woman's memory of true love in Africa; The Kiss, which deals with the intimate truth that emerges at the moment just before a kiss; and The Bimbo in the Manicure Shop, in which a woman has a major revelation about getting a manicure and women's desire to belittle their own worth to please a man.
