Comedian Kathy Buckley's solo show, Now Hear This, will end its three-month run at NYC's Lamb's Theatre Jan. 8. The hearing-impaired performer will have played 8 previews and 70 regular performances by the Saturday evening final show.

Buckley was born with a hearing loss and, as a result, spent part of her life being labeled mentally retarded by teachers and, as a child, suffered sexual abuse. On top of that, she fell victim to an accident which left her partially paralyzed for five years and survived that, only to enter another physical battle, this time with cervical cancer.

These events and more are incorporated into Buckley's one-person show, originally titled "Don't Buck With Me!." The show, directed by Sue Wolf, opened at the Lamb's Theatre Oct. 12, 1999.

For tickets and information on Now Hear This!, featuring "America's first hearing-impaired comedian" (as Buckley bills herself), call (212) 239-6200.
