News Last Chance: Puppettheatre Goes Mum in Philly, Sept. 19 Mum Puppettheatre, the critically-acclaimed, international touring company, ends the run of its current piece, Attack of the 50 Foot Fantoccini, Sept. 19 at its new home: 115 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. This is the fourth installment of Mum's annual Fantoccini show, and it began previews Sept. 7.

Mum Puppettheatre, the critically-acclaimed, international touring company, ends the run of its current piece, Attack of the 50 Foot Fantoccini, Sept. 19 at its new home: 115 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. This is the fourth installment of Mum's annual Fantoccini show, and it began previews Sept. 7.

50 Foot Fantoccini is a compilation of new original puppet skits created by Mum artistic director Robert Smythe and associate artist Scott Hitz. The production, which will feature performances by Smythe, Hitz, and others, utilizes Mum's wordless performance style.

Mum Puppettheatre is dedicated to producing original works of theatre using puppetry and has toured extensively through the United States and through four continents. The company has won several awards, including three "Citations of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry" from the Union Internationale de la Marionnette and five (Philadelphia) Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre.
