Ralph Nader Is Missing, a new comedy written by and starring Charlie Varon, author of Rush Limbaugh in Night School, will finish its extended its run at The Marsh in San Francisco, CA, Sept. 28.

The show was originally supposed to end June 29 and was then extended to Aug. 10. Strong reviews and "packed houses" were cited as the reason for the longer run.

Varon's comedy follows three lawyers as they search for their hero/colleague, consumer advocate Nader, whom they dream has been kidnapped. As they search for Nader through Washington they run into several suspects, all played by Varon. The three young lawyers are played by Bobby Weinapple, Stacy Ross and Chaz Magruder. David Dower directs the show, which was co-developed by Varon and David Ford.

Varon's solo show, Rush Limbaugh in Night School, parodied the conservative talk show host. Though that satire ran for only seven months, Varon did win the Will Glickman Award for Best New Play in the Bay Area, two Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards, and the American Theater Critics Association's Osborne Award.

The Marsh is at 1062 Valencia Street (at 21st Street), San Francisco. The press opening was May 30. For tickets and more information, call (415) 826-5750, or refer to the regional theatre listing on Playbill On-Line. -- By Honey Freilich and David Lefkowitz
