After a delayed opening and two extenstions, NYC's PS 122 will close their current production of Squonk's Bigsmorgasbordwunderwerk on Aug. 28. Bigsmorgasboard, along with PS 122's You are now Entering Nellie Oleson, had delayed openings because of New York's early summer heat wave which caused several area black outs.
The Pittsburgh-based Squonk was founded in 1992 as Squonk Opera, and has toured the U.S. and Canada extensively. Bigsmorgasbordwunderwerk is described as a mixture of performance art, opera, puppetry and food.
