Five actors bring to life more than 50 of Lewis Carroll's bizarre characters in Alice: Tales of a Curious Girl, a new adaptation of the Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" saga. The show ends its scheduled run at the Dallas Theater Center, March 21. Previews began Feb. 24 for an official opening March 2.
Karen Hartman, a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, was commissioned to write Alice, which is being directed by Jonathan Moscone. The latter recently helmed How I learned to Drive and An Ideal Husband for DTC. English-born composer Gina Leishman has written original music for the production.
The cast features Sarah "Squid" Lord as Alice, and Khary Payton, Raphael Parry, Bruce DuBose, and Lisa Lee Schmidt.
Designers are Riccardo Hernandez, whose recent credits include Parade, Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Katherine B. Ross (costumes).
