In Krapp's Last Tape, a 69-year old man has taped himself on every birthday going over his life. He listens to his own voice at 39, bragging about decisions which in retrospect seem like tragic mistakes. Krapp obsesses over the mistakes he's made in his past, and the love he's lost.

Beckett is widely considered one of the twentieth century's most influential playwrights, and in fact, he's one of the few who has won the prestigious Nobel Prize for Literature. Other plays by Beckett include: Waiting for Godot, Endgame, Happy Days, Play and Act Without Words I & II.

Irish Rep's production of Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape runs at The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). For tickets ($20) or more information, call (212) 727-2737.
